Give your Cerakote projects the rare, grid‑based aesthetic of Desert Night Camouflage with this precision‑cut vinyl stencil pack inspired by the iconic 1990s U.S. night‑operations pattern. This design features micro‑grid geometry, broken lattice structures, and layered square‑based breakup zones that create a unique, retro‑tactical texture ideal for rifles, pistols, magazines, and night‑themed builds.

These stencil packs are printed on Hi‑Bake vinyl rated up to 360°F, making them fully compatible with Cerakote curing temperatures. They are designed for Cerakote, but also work flawlessly with Gunkote, Duracoat, Krylon, and other spray‑on firearm finishes. All stencil packs are single‑use and not reusable.

Each sheet is cut from premium 10×15 heat‑resistant vinyl and engineered specifically for firearm coatings, airbrushing, and custom finishing work. All artwork is originally designed in‑house, ensuring clean edges, consistent spacing, and reliable adhesion during spraying.

Origins of the Pattern

Desert Night Camouflage (DNC) was developed by the United States in the early 1990s for use over standard uniforms during night operations. Its distinctive square‑grid pattern was engineered to disrupt early‑generation Soviet‑era night‑vision devices by breaking up infrared silhouettes.

Although its operational use was limited, the pattern became iconic due to its unusual geometric structure and its association with early Gulf War‑era night missions. Today, it remains one of the most recognizable and visually striking camouflage patterns from the period.

This stencil pack is inspired by the structure and visual style of Desert Night Camouflage, recreated as original artwork suitable for Cerakote and custom finishing applications.
