Origins of the Pattern

Bottomland Greenleaf is a stylistic evolution of the original Bottomland camouflage, which was developed in the late 1980s for use in hardwood forests, river bottoms, and swamp environments. The original pattern relied on vertical, bark‑like streaks and muted earth tones to mimic tree trunks and natural shadows.

Greenleaf variations introduced leaf‑shaped overlays to improve concealment in spring and early‑season foliage, enhancing breakup in environments with fresh vegetation. While not tied to any specific military force, this style became widely used by hunters, outdoorsmen, and gear makers for its natural, highly effective woodland concealment.

This stencil pack is inspired by the structure and visual style of Bottomland‑style patterns with added leaf elements, recreated as original artwork suitable for Cerakote and custom finishing applications.
